Y2S Sports

Replacing the skills of the ball with the mind, and the only competition is with who you were yesterday.

K-2 Curriculum

At this age, kids are full of energy and curiosity, but they’re still learning the basics of how to manage emotions, play with others, and believe in themselves. Our K–2 curriculum uses sports for fun to build the foundational skills of emotional intelligence, resilience, and teamwork.

What kids learn:

  • Emotional intelligence: Naming feelings and using calming tools like deep breaths or breaks.
  • Resilience: Understanding that mistakes are part of learning and practicing how to “try again.”
  • Teamwork: Sharing, taking turns, and beginning to see the value of working together.
  • Leadership: Taking on small responsibilities like leading a warm-up or helping a teammate.
  • Confidence: Celebrating effort over outcomes, so kids start to believe “I can.”
