Youth Leadership Opportunity
We are looking for high school Juniors or Seniors to be coaches, role models, and mentors for a team of 10-12 players. This is a perfect opportunity to gain leadership skills in return for community service hours to use on college applications.
If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering to be a coach for Y2S Sports, please share this page and encourage them to fill out our coach’s interest form.
Who Can Apply?
If you’re a high school athlete or student passionate about sports and helping others, we would love to have you. This is a unique opportunity to mentor younger kids, develop youth leadership skills, and earn community service hours.
We structured the different sports to correspond to the off-season of high school sports. For instance, we offer fall soccer because high school players have more flexibility in their off-season. However, we welcome all athletes or students interested in our program. We are always looking for partners and volunteers in other areas, if interested please contact us today.
How it works
Y2S Sports uses sports in a fun, non-competitive environment, with no weekend games. Coaches lead weekly practices and help organize a league-wide community service project to help players learn the game and develop crucial life skills.
At the beginning of each season, coaches go through a youth leadership training and the importance of being both a role model and mentors for the players on their team. We provide each of our coaches instructions and detailed instructions on how to deliver our curriculum and make sure it’s fun for both coaches and players enrolled within Youth To Society Sports.
We understand this is a learning opportuntiy for our coaches, and our goal is to help build their skills as much as the skills of the kids enrolled within our program. We work closely with our coaching staff and will always provide a helpful and collaborative environment.
